Amidst all the happenings of holiday season, I've neglected the blog. I'm sorry Grandma. :(
There is more sad news.
Before Thanksgiving, our trusty desktop IMac (the one we've had since we got married and that I do most of my internet perusing and blog posting on) passed away. I didn't really think too much about it when it wouldn't turn on, just told Jeff about it and we both put it out of our minds for a bit.
But earlier this week when I went to begin working on our annual calendar, I realized that ALL OF OUR PICTURES FROM 2011 WERE ON THE DEAD HARD DRIVE. ALL. OF. THEM.
Needless to say, I've been a bit stressed.
Jeff's trying to figure out how to fix it (bless his heart) but it's not looking good.
I'm trying to remember that God is over all of these little and big stresses, and that if there's nothing that can be done, then there's nothing that can be done and life goes on. Hey God, are you trying to remind me that Christmas is really not about giving presents and that it really is about Jesus??? Good job God if that's what you're trying to do.
So, life is going on. And here's Penny from yesterday afternoon, when she did not want to nap, and instead, amused herself by watching videos of herself.
(In this one, she's tell video-Penny to come and play with her.)
(See how much she loves looking at herself?!)
And to prove further that life really does go on, we've Christmas-fied our living room! Who needs these when you can make them for less than $3 a jar? (Oh Anthropologie, I have such a love-hate relationship with you... So clever yet so DIY-able!!!)
(This year I spent $0 on Christmas tree decorations! How? Paper chains, paper punch-out garland, scrap fabric bows... Sometimes it's good to have a craft closet full of useless stuff.)
Grandma/Mom/Grandpa... pray that our computer will work so that you can get some good calendars this year for Christmas!!!
