Sorry so quiet...

Our little girl is turning one this weekend which means that things are pretty busy over here.

(I'm determined not to be "crazy" [quoting my good friend Judy, crazy = favors, signage, games, etc...] so I'm NOT doing games. Trying to keep things relatively low-key and, more importantly, low-cost.)

But I'm realizing, my craziness when it comes to birthday parties is definitely hard to control.

So, right now, my free time looks like this:

Lists, recipes, ideas, price comparisons, washi tape, mini pies and regular pies, Costco, crepe paper, baker's twine...

I'm trying not to be crazy, I promise!!!!

The party will be amazing and I think you should just let go and be the artistic, creative person that you are!! (I can't wait to see pictures!)

Those sandwiches sound amazing! And I'm inspired by your note-taking book. I may have to start one myself. Happy First Birthday Penny-girl!

Bethany, thanks for the encouragement!!! Makes me feel better already. :)

Dorothy, LOVE taking notes in a notebook. Especially after I've decked out my notebook in washi tape, like this one: http://www.ohhellofriendblog.com/2011/08/washi-tape-notebook.html
(Hers looks MUCH better than mine!)

Since you posted this a few days ago and now it's the night before the party, just wanted to tell you that the party will be wonderful no matter what, we all love you and your beautiful birthday girlie and try not to worry about the party too much. (My way of lovingly saying "don't go crazy").
