Last month, as I was getting ready to go somewhere (probably church because that's usually the only place that I really get ready to go to at this point in life), I was standing in my closet and realized that gosh, I sure do have lots of clothes.
So then, why do I often feel like I have nothing to wear?
As I thought about it more, I realized it's because I always just want to wear the same things: a pair of jeans, a t-shirt or button-down, a sweatshirt or cardigan, and converse sneakers.
One of my goals this month is to not wear jeans for a whole week.
I hope that by doing this, I'll be able to look at what I really have (which is actually many items that I just choose not to wear) and what I really WANT to wear, and then hopefully, be able to know which of the things I have are truly wearable and versatile. And, then I can clean out my closet and get rid of the things I don't really ever wear. Yay!
I started yesterday, but decided today should be day 1, because I usually put more thought into what I wear to church anyway and am less likely to wear jeans on Sundays.
Today, it's raining and I have yet to change out of my pajamas. BUT... we're going out later for tacos so I'll hopefully have two outfit pictures tomorrow. (They'll be very bad pictures though. We're still using camera phones and photobooth for pictures over here.)
Here are photos of our funny little valentines instead:
Happy Valentine's Day!
