Half a year ago today, Jeff and I were in a hospital in San Diego, meeting Penelope True, face-to-face for the very first time.
Our little 5 lb. 11 oz. bean has turned into an 18 lb. chubbalub. :) (Check out all those rolls!)
True to her second child form, Penny is not quite the overachiever Jonas was as a baby. By the time Jonas was 6 months old, he was getting ready to crawl; Penny has only rolled over (from back to stomach) once. Ever. And now I actually think it might've just been a figment of my imagination because she's never done it since.
She's happy and sweet and generally easy-going. She loves to be held and loves to be surprised. Her favorite boys (Daddy and Jonas) make her giggle and laugh. She has started eating oatmeal cereal and I've brought out the Beaba to start her on veggies and fruits. She's still not quite consistently sleeping through the night (will often wake once at night to feed and go back to sleep) but I think she's getting better with naps in the day.
Gosh. We love her. And it's quite wonderful because God has blessed our little family with many many friends, aunties, uncles, and even a dinosaur who love our children.
Penny. Please stop growing up so fast. Even though sometimes I say that I wish you would do more stuff and not be lazy, I secretly really love that you are taking your time and truly embracing your babyhood. Who needs crawling and rolling? You're a pro at lying on your back and waiting for someone to come and entertain you. Oh, and having lots of arm rolls. We like the arm rolls. They are the best.
