Homemade "friends" for our new friends...

The next week will be exciting for Jonas and me because we'll get to meet some new friends-- babies/children of friends that we haven't seen a while. Jonas and I decided earlier this week that it'd be fun to make "friends" (animal softies!) for our new friends...

Meet Lola, the long-legged calico bird, and Harry, the polka-dotted flannel elephant! (Ginny, the awkwardly beautiful flannel giraffe is still in the works...)

What makes them extra special is that Jonas has snuggled each, to make sure they are just soft enough for his new friends. :)

Too cute!!! Love them! And they look totally snuggle-worthy. :) Did you do that with a sewing machine or hand-sew? I need to take pics of the birds I've made for Tic'Tic's mobile and post them too.

I did the embroidery by hand (I learned a new stitch!) and then machine sewed them up. I'm still deciding what to make for Tic'Tic...
