Gone till November

Kathy’s been flying solo here lately, and I think it’s time I came back to claim my rightful position as adventurer along with my lovely wife.

One recent adventure was a virtual one, full of thrills and surprises. This month I had a Facebook friend explosion!

Now, don’t let anyone come around here telling you that Facebook was so last year and that everyone needs to jump on the Twitter bandwagon (I am not convinced. Besides, it took me a few months to figure out Facebook’s interface; I am not learning how to use another networking site). Facebook is here to stay.

What is so explosive about my month of Facebook? Well, before I could really care less about the whole thing. Then I got a couple friend requests from long-lost people I used to know quite well. Then I realized that I knew lots and lots of people once upon a time that I didn’t really know anymore - and wouldn’t it be nice if I knew them a little bit again?

So I began finding people I knew and asking if they wouldn’t mind knowing me again and most of them said yes (though some are still thinking about it, I guess). Then I found some people I see a lot now but don’t really know yet and I asked them if they wanted to know me a little better (virtually, anyway), and most of them said yes too. And then other people had the same idea that I did and asked me if I wanted to know them again, and I said YES! (Although, I didn’t always say yes. One of my former high school students asked and I think she thinks that I am still thinking about it. Shhh... don’t tell her!)

So, now I have twice as many friends on Facebook as I did just a few weeks ago. And that puts a smile on my face. :)

Do you want to be my friend? You’ll have special access to awesome pictures of Jonas! (Come on. You knew a whole post could not go by without mentioning my beautiful baby boy!)

Honey... Our blog is not a place to try to get more friends for your facebook account.
Not everything's a competition.
:)
Love you.
